Winter is a perfect time to get inspired and revitalize your creative juices. The snow is beautiful, but it usually keeps us snuggled up indoors and that’s when the ideas can flow.
I could paint this room a beautiful pale blue. Would that sofa look good in a new mocha slipcover, maybe with teal pillows?
For me, winter is the perfect time to leaf through my stacks of magazines, old and new, for inspiration. In one old issue I came across a great idea for a clock. A few tweaks and maybe a new product for the shop? The inspiration for our new color, Ocean, came from the border of an advertisement.
This is a great time to visit the local fabric store. The new lines are coming out and it’s fun to see what the hot new colors will be. From my trip this week it seems that neutrals are still big. But color is coming on strong; vibrant tangerines, raspberries, limes and teals are in abundance. I am noticing a lot of graphics, with a contemporary flair, and global designs.
Love This:
